Hard Rock International Reveals Seminole $1.5 Billion Expansion

A week ago, the Hard Rock International disclosed their latest development plans for the Seminole Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. It celebrated the news with a smashing guitar ceremony. The cost for the planned project will be at $1.5 billion and is expected to open sometime in 2019.

In completion, the casino will be a guitar-shaped 35 story casino and hotel. It will host 638 rooms, and the casino will be twice its current size. Both Steven van Zandt from E Street Band and Nicko Mcbrain from Iron Maiden were there to take part in the celebration.

The casino will also have its facelift. Come 2019 it looks like it will be a gaming venue that will feature more gaming machines. It will feature 178 table games, 3267 slot machines and a poker room at 18 000 square feet. The Hard Rock casino is known to host big poker events such as the World Poker Tour. Other than poker enthusiast many other casino players from across the US and the world frequent the casino.

Non- Gambling Features

It is not unusual for casino resort to cater for other amnesties such as shopping and entertainment. The Seminole Hotel and Casino will add a new retail facility that will also include food and beverage services. Other features will include a lagoon-style pool with a Bora Bora experience, a spa, and a football room.

The Hard Rock Live building will seat about 7000 people in its capacity from the 5500 seats. However, the upgrade on the live entertainment venue will only start in 2018. The completion of the hotel will happen right before the Super Bowl LIV which will be hosted at the Hard Rock Stadium.

Hard Rock International will generate over 2000 interim jobs during and 3000 permanent after construction. According to the CEO Jim Allen, the hotel and casino will be the first of its kind with its guitar design.
