All Craps Bets

The entire point of the game is that you will predict the outcome of the two dice. The only thing that makes the game seem more complicated than it is the different types of bets that you can make. The only thing casinos won’t tell you is that most bets are pretty straightforward. Well, they are a few of them which were complicated, but that shouldn’t make you shy away from playing the casino game. Below we explain the different bets and also share the payout odds of these bets. You will also find the house edge of each bet

Pass Line And Don’t Pass Line Bet

The pass line bet is the most popular bet that you will find in craps. With this bet, you’ll be predicting that the dice will land on a 7 or 11. This is before it lands on a 2, 3, or 12 on the come-out roll. If the dice lands on the 7or 11, you will win, but if it lands on a 2, 3, or 12, you will lose. Should any other number be rolled out the pass line bet will stay active until the dice lands on the point number or a seven.

The don’t pass line bet is an inverted bet to the pass line. This means if the dice on a 2 or 3 on the come out roll, you will win. However, if it lands on the 7 or 11, you will lose the bet. Should the dice on a 12, then it is known as a push. Also, if any other number is rolled out before is seven, you will lose. Both bets payout 1 to 1, which is even money, and they are both multiple roll bets.

  • Pass line bet house edge – 41%
  • Don’t pass line house edge – 1.36%

Craps Come And Don’t Come Bet

Both these bets are placed after the point has been established from the pass line. The payout odds on these bets are 1 to 1. With the come bet, you’ll be predicting that the shooter will land on a 7or 11 before the come point. With the don’t come bet, it is an inverted bet of the come bet. You’ll be predicting that a two or three should land before a 7 or 11 has been rolled. If the dice lands on 12, it is a tie, and you will not get a payout if any other number is ruled out before 11.

  • Come bet house edge – 40 1%
  • Don’t come bet house edge – 1.36%

Craps Field Bets Odds

Should the dice land on a 11, 10, 9, 4, or 3, win your bet. You will get double the payout if it lands on a 2 and triple the payout if it lands on a 12. the payout odds for the dice landing on a 2 or 12 are 2 to 1. a counter to these winning bets are the dice lands on an 8, 7, 6,  or 5 you lose the bet. All other numbers payout 1 to 1 with this bet.

  • Field bet house age 5.5%.

Craps Odds Bets

Odds bet can be thought of as side bets that you make after the point has been established. These are extensions of the pass line, don’t pass,  come, and don’t come bet. If it pays out at true odds, which means there is no house edge on the bet. For example, if you place a pass line odds bet is complementary to your pass line bet, you would be paid out if a point was rolled out before a 7. You would lose the bet if a seven were rolled out before the point. The payouts on this bet vary depending on what the point is.

Craps Place Bets

These bets can be made at any time during the game. But they are mostly played when a point has been determined. With this bet, you’ll be placing a wager on a number to be rolled out before the 7.

The place win bet is made after they come out full and can be made on numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. You will win this bet if any of these numbers are rolled out before 7. The place lose bet is an opposite to the place win bet. You will win if a 7 is rolled out before the 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. The win and lose craps place bets payouts differently and also have different house ages

Buy Bet

This bet is extremely similar to the place win bet. You predict that a specific number will be rolled out before 7; however, this bet has much higher payouts. You will also have to pay 5% commission to the casino when you place the bet. The payout also depends on the number that has been rolled
