Does blackjack automatically win? Blackjack in this instance doesn’t refer to the name of the game. Instead, it refers to the most natural winning hand, otherwise known as a natural blackjack. This kind of hand is one that equals 21 with just two cards. So, if you receive an ace with a number 10 card, where the ace takes the value of 11, you win via natural blackjack, or simply “blackjack”.

Yes, natural blackjack automatically wins against the dealer’s hand if the dealer holds a hand valued lower than, or over 21. Lower than 21 means the player has the higher total, and over 21 means the dealer goes bust, which equals to a loss. A natural blackjack is paid at a ratio of 3:2.
