Blackjack in this instance doesn&#8217;t refer to the name of the game. Instead, it refers to the most natural winning hand, otherwise known as a natural blackjack. This kind of hand is one that equals 21 with just two cards. So, if you receive an ace with a number 10 card, where the ace takes the value of 11, you win via natural blackjack, or simply &#8220;blackjack&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, natural blackjack automatically wins against the dealer\u2019s hand if the dealer holds a hand valued lower than, or over 21. Lower than 21 means the player has the higher total, and over 21 means the dealer goes bust, which equals to a loss. The hand with a total of 21 or closest to it, wins. Subsequently, the hand that goes over the 21 mark loses.<\/li>\n<li>Numbered cards from 2 through 10 carry face value so a 3 equals 3 and a 5 equals 5. Picture cards like J, K, Q carry a value of 10 each, while aces can either be a 1 or 11 depending on the hand you have.<\/li>\n<li>Hands that include an ace are called a soft hand because it&#8217;s flexible and is less likely to bust if you play your cards right.<\/li>\n<li>Your main goal in the game is to beat the dealer, not the other players.<\/li>\n<li>Blackjack can be played with one dealer and several players all at once. But, the dealer facilitates an independent game with each player at the table. This means that the dealer can lose against one player, but then win against another player on the same table or in the same online session.<\/li>\n<li>If both the dealer and the player bust at the same time, the player loses. Remember the saying &#8220;the house always wins&#8221;?
